About Shroom Riot
Shroom Riot is one product: a caffeine-free functional mushroom cocoa, sold in a 300 g pouch that makes 30 servings. This page is the detail behind it — who makes it, what is in it, and what we deliberately do not claim.
Who makes it
Shroom Riot is made in the United Kingdom for Willterlet Holdings Ltd, 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. Owain Lloyd, our Head of Operations and Manufacturing, is responsible for how the blend is specified and produced, and writes the guides on this site.
What is actually in it
The full ingredient list, in order, exactly as it appears on the pouch:
Whey powder, cocoa powder, maltodextrin, 4-mushroom blend (lion’s mane, chaga, reishi, cordyceps), sunflower lecithin, xanthan gum, sucralose.
The mushrooms are blended into the cocoa rather than dusted on top, and the whey is what lets it mix into a shake without a second scoop.
The four mushrooms, and which part of them
The blend is four mushrooms in equal parts — 25% each, and it is made from the fruiting body: the mushroom itself, not mycelium grown on grain. That distinction is the one worth knowing in this category, because mycelium-on-grain products carry the grain through into the finished powder.
- Lion’s Mane — Hericium erinaceus
- Reishi — Ganoderma lucidum
- Cordyceps — Cordyceps militaris
- Chaga — Inonotus obliquus
It is a fruiting-body powder, not a concentrated extract. We say that plainly because the two are often sold as if they were the same thing.
The specification it is made to
The mushroom blend is bought against a written specification. These are the limits it has to meet:
| Checked for | Limit |
|---|---|
| Arsenic | ≤ 1 ppm |
| Lead | ≤ 2 ppm |
| Cadmium | ≤ 1 ppm |
| Mercury | ≤ 0.1 ppm |
| Total plate count | ≤ 10,000 cfu/g |
| Yeast / mould | ≤ 100 cfu/g each |
| Coliforms, E. coli, Salmonella, Staphylococcus | Negative |
| Pesticide residue | Below the limit of quantification on a 539-item screen |
Physically: moisture below 9%, ash below 5%, and a fine grind — at least 98% passes an 80-mesh screen, which is why it dissolves rather than sitting on top. The blend is non-GMO, non-irradiated and free from ethylene oxide, and carries a two-year shelf life in its original packaging.

What we do not claim
This part matters more than the marketing.
- We are not certified organic, and we do not describe this product as organic. Certification is a legal status granted by an approved control body, and we do not hold one.
- We do not make health claims. Under UK and EU rules a food may only carry a health claim that appears on the authorised register. We describe what is in the pouch, how much of it is in a serving, and what it tastes like.
- We do not call it coffee. There is no coffee and no caffeine in it. If you arrived here looking for mushroom coffee, the honest answer is that this is a cocoa drink instead — we wrote about the difference.
What customers say
Reviews on the product page are collected by Judge.me from verified purchases and shown in full — the critical ones as well as the good ones. We do not curate them.
